Opened in 1926 by the Benbow Family, the Benbow Hotel has been a popular destination. With a 54 unit hotel, dining room, lounge, and nestled among the Redwoods of northern California, this resort continues the traditions started many years ago. Rated 4-diamond with AAA the Benbow Inn sits on a beautiful site, with two forks of the Eel River. The Benbow RV & Golf resort is just steps from the hotel. The golf course is a 9-hole executive course and is PGA certified. The RV park was built in the early 1970’s by the Benbow Family. It has 112 paved, full hook-up sites, and three RV Cavco rental units. The golf course and RV Park operate together and have a main clubhouse/pro shop, convenience store/gift shop, swimming pool, driving cage, practice green, recreational hall, game room and comfort station (showers/toilets for RV guests).
These two properties are adjacent to each other, divided by US Highway 101. A walkway under the highway allows guests and staff to go between each location. Benbow has it’s own exit on Highway 101, exit number 636. It is located 200 miles north of San Francisco. Driving time from San Francisco is a short 3.5 hours, and 2.5 hours from Santa Rosa. The property has the potential for additional development. An addition to the Inn is possible adding another 15-20 guest rooms and meeting rooms. There is enough undeveloped land at the RV/Golf Resort to add additional recreational services.
